7th Annual Witches Ride
Saturday, October 17th | 4:00-7:00 p.m.
The Magic Starts Early
Ahead of the big ride, CHIW will host two Pre-Ride Pick-Up Events at Tierra Distilling Co. & Café, giving registered riders a chance to grab their ride-day essentials and mingle with fellow witches.
Saturday, October 10 | 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Witches can stop by Tierra to pick up their 2026 Witches Ride tote bag (available for the first 300 witches who register) and official ride wristband, mix and mingle with fellow riders, and get ready for the big day.
Friday, October 16 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.
A final chance for registered riders to fly by Tierra and pick up their tote bag and wristband before the ride.
All registered riders are required to wear their official Witches Ride wristband on ride day as proof of registration.
Grab Your Brooms
Saturday, October 17th is the big day!
3:45 p.m. — Witches gather at Walker Elementary School
4:00 p.m. — Brooms (a.k.a. bikes) take flight
Around 4:45 p.m. — Catch the coven as it passes Prospect School. Prospect Ave. from Norfolk to Burlington will be closed to vehicle traffic during the ride.
Following the ride — The coven lands at Tierra Distilling Co. & Café for an after-party featuring music, drinks, dancing and fun with your fellow witches!
Community members are encouraged to line the route, cheer on the witches and join the celebration afterward. Whether you ride, cheer from the sidelines or simply come out to enjoy the spectacle, it’s a chance to be part of the magic while supporting healthier futures for children and families across Chicagoland.
